We All Live Here

By JoJo Moyes

My wife has been telling me for years that I should read one of Jo-Jo’s books.

I wouldnt’ say it was my normal genre but I was looking for an easy read on holiday and ventured in to We All Live Here.

I must admit that I found it an engaging and hear-warming book.

Having lost her flamboyuant mother Lila to tragedy and her husband to another woman she attempts to keepit all together for the sake of her two daughters. Her step father, also suffering grief becomes an almost permanent feature in her home. Then out of nowhere her biological father reappears after 35 years.

They all proceed gto live under one roof in chaotic fashion.

It is black and white. A story about love and a story about grief.

Her characterisation is so strong that I really connected with them. I always know its a good sign when I let my imagination wander to who might play them in a film version.

Really enjoyed it, and note that she has a great back catalogue, so will be giving Jo-Jo another go.
